BIT/HISTORY OF BITCOIN

by Smashtoshi

The First Edition of BIT is a unique edition. It is housed in a wooden case crafted from 5,000-year-old fossilised black oak, England’s rarest native hardwood. Ancient and enduring, the case has been designed to safeguard this work for generations to come.

Inside lies the bull leather bound volume, its cover crowned with a bespoke silver Bitcoin emblem by world renownded Asprey Studio. Within its pages 128 original artworks bring to life Bitcoin’s remarkable journey, each moment reimagined through the vision of world-leading artists.

At a world first, the First Edition was auctioned at Bitcoin MENA in Abu Dhabi bringing together Bitcoiners, collectors, and art lovers from around the world. Proceeds from the First Edition were split between My First Bitcoin (79%) and the contributing artists (21%).

RevElations

Revelations is the pocket-sized companion to BIT. It connects each artwork to the history it represents. Where the art captures Bitcoin’s defining moments, Revelations anchors them in fact and memory.

Stories from behind the work
The research draws on first-hand accounts from more than 100 early Bitcoiners, including Martti Malmi, Theymos, Trace Mayer, Samson Mow, Tim Draper, and Jameson Lopp. Their voices ensure accuracy while adding the personal perspective of those who helped shape events.

Designed as a companion
Created to be read alongside the artbook, Revelations offers the feel of a gallery visit: seeing the work and learning the story behind it. Produced in a handheld bible format, printed on bible paper, leather bound, and finished with gold foiling, it is a book to be opened, studied, and returned to often.
